SunChrom has been founded January 1988 as Spark Deutschland GmbH. The primary objective was to install a service and sales organisation in Germany for the autosamplers and column heaters built by Spark Holland (www.spark.nl) as an exclusive partner.

This originated customer contacts leading, after a short time, into the integration of further components and modules for HPLC systems. Different own developments of instruments then completed this range and, since 1995, SunChrom can offer a complete modulare system for analytical HPLC.

1993 this evolution was followed by renaming the company in SunChrom wissenschaftliche Ger?te GmbH. But even now sales and service for the products of Spark Holland still represent an important part of business for SunChrom.

From the beginning SunChrom always paid a great attention to constant and direct contac to their customers. As an innovative company and due to many years of realtionship with international manufacturers, SunChrom always succeeded in elaborating solutions for special customers' wishes and inquiries. This benefited later to a multitude of customers.

As an example we'd like to mention the chromatographic determination of sugar / alcohol or of organic acids in the analysis of beverage (particularly in wine and sparkling wine). A lot of well-known sparkling wine producers, official testing institutes, cellars as well as wine laboratories belong now to our customers

A few years ago SunChrom began with the development and the production of own instruments consisting of a mixing chamber, a column heater, micro and nano flow cells and a fraction collector / MALDI spotter.

Besides analytical HPLC systems the field of micro HPLC has come up to an additional main focus of SunChrom. By taking over the exclusive representation 1995 for Eldex (www.eldex.com), 1999 for Picometrics (www.picometrics.com), 2002 for ASI (www.hplc-asi.com) and 2004 for Glygen (www.glygen.com) SunChrom is now able to offer even in this field very attractive products.
