The DynaLIFEDx partnership provides diagnostic laboratory services to more than 2000 physicians and one million patients annually. The laboratory, locally managed from its state-of-the-art facility in Edmonton, performs more than 14 million tests every year. Our mandate is to provide high quality, cost-effective services to our clients to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of patients’ and employees’ health. The laboratory employs the newest technologies to ensure that patients receive the best possible laboratory services.

DynaLIFEDx services are provided by approximately 800 laboratory employees working at more than 30 sites including hospital laboratories, community patient care centres, and through a mobile collection service. The laboratory also performs referral testing, and offers consulting and management services to a wide range of health care organizations.

DynaLIFEDx recognizes the importance of participating in the education of future laboratory professionals and the advancement of laboratory sciences. Our involvement in training programs, medical research and the development of new and improved methodologies is extensive.

DynaLIFEDx and its partners conduct more than 175 million routine and specialized laboratory tests annually.

History
DynaLIFEDx was established in 1995 to serve patients, physicians, hospitals and pharmaceutical, government and industrial clients. The laboratory enjoys strong partnerships with regional health authorities and other clients.

Today DynaLIFEDx works closely with Regional Health Authorities in central and northern Alberta. It also provides testing and consulting services for the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and many other clients across Canada. Specialized testing services are offered for clinical drug trials, employment-related drug monitoring and occupational health testing.

Services range from total operation of hospital and community services to management services, reference testing and consulting services. We tailor our services to meet the needs of each community.

In Alberta’s Capital Health region, DynaLIFEDx operates a central laboratory and more than 30 patient care centres in the region.

DynaLIFEDx also works in partnership with 10 other health regions to deliver high quality and sustainable diagnostic services.

DynaLIFEDx is one of the most highly accredited clinical laboratories in Canada:
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
The College of American Pathologists
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the agency that accredits forensic drug testing laboratories in Canada and the US
In addition, the laboratory is accredited as a training institution for medical residents and students, medical laboratory technologists and medical laboratory assistants.
