美國Xencor公司2006年3月宣布，通過使用專有的“XmAb”技術在單克隆抗體的穩定區（Fc）導入變異，增強Fc受體的親和性及特異性，因此把對靶細胞的抗體依賴性細胞毒性（ADCC）的活性成功地在in vitro實驗提高到100倍、在in vivo實驗提高到10倍以上。研究得到的結果有望增強已經確定了靶細胞的癌癥的治療效果。
